HITMAN Leverages Instagram Drops to Generate UGC and Feedback





Scrollmark made it easy to activate our HITMAN community at scale on our owned socials with Drops - rewarding players with an in-game duck for sharing clips and completing a fast DM survey. We collected over 1,600 responses and generated 120+ pieces of UGC our team could quickly use in marketing, all while making our own posts go viral with minimal effort!

Leveraging in-game drops to increase social engagement
IOI activated their community by rewarding players who posted clips of the latest mission or engaged with HITMAN on social media with an in-game drop.
By encouraging players to leave a comment on their posts to take a survey, or post a clip of themselves completing the latest mission, IOI baked virality directly into the campaign, turning every reward into a new piece of content, engagement, and reach.

Turning Social DMs into a Survey Tool
Players could comment “Survey” on a post to receive a DM with a short survey about the latest mission. After completing it, players were automatically sent a duck in exchange for their feedback.
The result: by meeting players where they are, the team was able to easily generate thousands of comments on their survey post, leading to 1610 survey responses.
